Our Purpose
As a current market leader, Nourish Care provides a digital solution to the health and social care sector which enhances the process of recording, analysing, and sharing of information.
We are in the midst of one of the most exciting times in our history and while we are the current market leader in the sector we will not become complacent. We are dedicated to our purpose of a better life for everyone. We continue to revolutionise the care sector and our incredible employees are what make this possible.
About the Job
A software developer at Nourish is a generalist with specialisms. What does that mean? It means that – at heart – you’re an engineer with a broad passion for programming, for building solutions to problems regardless of specific language, framework or stack.
That said, we expect you to have spent more time working with certain languages and frameworks than others – and for you to have personal preferences – and we are happy for you to bring that enthusiasm with you!
Our Community Care API Team is building the backend solutions that will power the next generation of care agency management solutions. We’re engaged in a process of learning from our legacy systems, then re-writing that logic – with improvements – in a modern, Symfony 6 codebase, complete with linting, static analysis and automated tests.
The team is small, but focussed, and sits as part of a wider engineering department of forty-five, including QA and Product teams. We believe that good code is written collaboratively, and have a pairing and mentoring culture.
We run a Dockerised stack that is deployed via CI into an AWS Kubernetes environment. Although we have a DevOps team, we encourage all engineers to take an active interest in deployment and learn our infrastructure stack.
