Hi, I'm Billy, and I'm joining Nourish as a Lead Software Engineer based in Norwich.

I’ve been working as a software engineer for over 10 years, with the last 5 focused on technical leadership. I’ve led teams in fast-paced environments and enjoy building scalable, secure systems that make a real impact.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my young family, especially with my twin toddlers who keep me on my toes. I’m also into most sports, both watching and playing, and enjoy getting stuck into DIY projects like renovating my house. Recently, I’ve been building a vegetable garden and experimenting with brewing my own beer.

I was really drawn to Nourish because of its mission and values. It’s exciting to be part of a team using technology to genuinely improve people’s lives. Most of my leadership experience has been in smaller companies, so I’m looking forward to learning and contributing within a larger, more established team. I’m genuinely excited to get stuck in and help drive the project forward.

Three fun facts about me:

• I'm a twin dad, I have two-year-old twins, one boy and one girl.
• I used to compete at county level in boxing (my great-grandfather was a British champion).
• My favourite sweet is bubblegum fizzy bottles.
