About the Job
As a key member of our product team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, release managers, and developers to help shape the development of innovative products that meet customer needs and align with broader business objectives. Your role will involve gathering and analysing data, generating actionable insights, and working alongside stakeholders to make informed product decisions that drive success. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
You will support the development of solutions by identifying and delivering the technology, tools, and insights needed to improve product decision-making and operational efficiency. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be key to ensuring the success of our products. This position requires a mix of critical thinking, commercial awareness, and a strong technical understanding to deliver valuable products that meet both customer and business requirements.
The role and your responsibilities
Data Analysis & Interpretation
- Collect and analyse data from various sources to understand user behaviour, product performance, and market trends.
- Establish clear KPIs and metrics to assess product success and guide future decisions, ensuring data-driven decision-making across teams.
Product Tech Stack
- Support the rationalisation and implementation of a unified product tech stack that enables seamless team collaboration and drives operational efficiency.
Product Instrumentation
- Collaborate with the product and technical teams to map and implement instrumentation tools to gather robust user telemetry data, informing product decisions.
Strategic Recommendations
- Use data analysis and market research to identify opportunities for product improvement, including feature enhancements, user experience improvements, and prioritisation of new features.
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimise the product roadmap and support product managers in refining feature prioritisation.
Customer Feedback & Insights
- Develop and implement processes for collecting, analysing, and reporting customer feedback, ensuring this data is actively used to drive product improvements.
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative customer feedback to uncover insights that shape product direction.
Market and Competitor Analysis
- Partner with Product Marketing to regularly analyse market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to influence the product strategy and keep our offerings competitive.
Process Optimisation
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the product development process and collaborate with relevant teams to suggest and implement process improvements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient product delivery across the organisation.
Project Management
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring product initiatives are completed on schedule and align with broader business goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless execution of product development projects from conception through to delivery.
Change Management
- Assist with the management of product and process changes within the team, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing work and that changes are effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
Required experience
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in using analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to interpret and manipulate large datasets. Experience with statistical methods (such as A/B testing and regression analysis) is beneficial.
- Technical Aptitude: A strong understanding of SaaS products, the technologies behind them, and how to collaborate with development teams to ensure product solutions are viable and scalable.
- Product Understanding: Familiarity with the SaaS product lifecycle, key product metrics, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable data-driven insights.
- Product Telemetry: Experience in setting up and leveraging product telemetry tools (e.g., analytics platforms, user tracking) to inform decision-making processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
- Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, development, and marketing teams. Strong self-management skills, with excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management.
- Business & Commercial Awareness: A basic understanding of B2B market dynamics and business models, with the ability to align data analysis and product insights with broader commercial goals.
Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks and the ability to work iteratively in fast-paced, evolving environments focused on continuous improvement.
