Carrie Hibbert
Talent Acquisition Partner – People & CultureI’ve been lucky enough to work with some really brilliant brands during periods of high growth including HelloFresh, Freddie’s Flowers and New Balance - often at quite pivotal moments for those businesses.
I’ve worked internationally fairly extensively, spending time in Barcelona and Slovakia while at CPM International, which is an Omnicom-owned customer service outsourcing business. Slightly less glamorous than some of the brands I mentioned, but incredibly fast-paced and great experience nonetheless. While there, I led a team of 12 and delivered a recruitment transformation project, overseeing high-volume, multi-language hiring with some fairly aggressive targets.
I also spent time in California with Mr & Mrs Smith in Los Angeles, overseeing their recruitment function with a particular focus on senior appointments and building out their leadership team.
That said, there’s really no place like home (or Dorset), or your own bed for that matter - so I’m genuinely grateful to be joining such an impressive local company.
I was especially drawn to Nourish because my husband has owned a domiciliary care agency for over 16 years, so I’ve seen first-hand how critical the right technology is - not just for delivering great care to clients, but for properly supporting carers to do their jobs well. I got into recruitment because I love people, they genuinely fascinate me and there really couldn’t be a better place for a people person than such a people-centric business like Nourish.
- I’m the youngest of four and grew up with three older brothers. I spent most of my childhood bored and desperate for a sister. By some cruel twist of fate, I now have four daughters (two step), aged 11, 8, 6 and 2, so these days all I really wish for is boredom and solitude. 😄
- That’s made me highly organised by necessity, good at spinning a lot of plates, and very focused on what actually matters. I get things done with common sense and straight-talk - probably because I’ve got four Margaret Thatcher-level negotiators at home :)
- And completely unrelated, when I was eight I was an extra in an ITV Christmas adaptation of Cold Comfort Farm. I met Kate Beckinsale, Stephen Fry, and Miriam Margolyes who was, without question, the loveliest person in the room.
